Lillevilla Escape 113 sq. ft. Allwood Kit Cabin on Amazon

As an idea, this cozy Lillevilla Escape 113 sq. ft. Allwood Kit Cabin is large enough to create an extra place for your favorite hobby, or a space to store your garden tools or pool supplies. It can also become an extra home office, lake house, guest cottage, or retreat in your backyard (which may come in handy when the in-laws visit)!

This tiny house kit includes all the items and tools you’ll need to do-it-yourself (except roof shingles and foundation), along with step-by-step directions. But you may want to stock up on some Aleve before tackling this project as it will take one full day for two adults to assemble it.

Allwood Sommersby 174 sq. ft. Garden House Kit

How cute is this tiny house? The Allwood Sommersby 174 sq. ft. Garden House Kit, currently priced at $8,360 with free shipping, would make a great pool or garden house – and I’m loving that window front door! 😍 This kit comes with all the directions and materials you’ll need, except the roof shingles and foundation materials.

Allwood Arlanda XXL 273 sq. ft. Garden House Kit

Prefer more light? This contemporary, urban style Allwood Arlanda XXL 273 sq. ft. Garden House Kit, priced at just $10,695 with free shipping, includes several large windows to allow plenty of light in. It also comes with all the directions and materials you’d need to build this home, except the roof shingles and foundation materials.

Allwood Solvalla 172 sq. ft Studio Cabin Kit

While this Allwood Solvalla 172 sq. ft Studio Cabin Kit is currently unavailable for purchase, I’m loving the modern design and feel of this little space. I could definitely see myself relaxing in this cabin with my favorite book while soaking up some sun! 🤩 There’s even a covered patio so you can host a barbecue party!

And what’s fun about these cabin kits is that you can customize and paint them however you’d like! However, if you want to add anything extra, like air conditioning, plumbing, or electricity, to any of these homes, you’ll need to do that yourself—it doesn’t include any of those features.

Would you build your own tiny house?

OMG! This is just the thing for my adult son 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a great idea, Karen! Thanks for taking a moment to comment!

  2. Heather

I wish I had a good spot in my yard for this. I’d love to have a place for building my own home business.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! I love that idea too, Heather!

Plus planning permission, foundation $1000+, shingles, etc. You could build something better for less than $10k. That’s a fourth of what I paid for my whole house, barn, and land. This is only a deal if you leave somewhere expensive.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! Thanks for the feedback, Nik! Good to know! It does seem that land, housing and building materials can vary by region.

This is great! Thanks for sharing. Makes a perfect ‘she shed.’ 🙂

LOL! It sure does! You’re SO welcome!

What happened to the email button?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for asking, Wanda! We are checking on that now!

Would love this to use as a home office but one huge problem remains…. Where is the bathroom???

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Good question! It looks like that may be something you could add.

I don’t think this is a good price considering there is a missing bathroom in each pool/guest house. I could get this made, same size for around the same price, 10K, where I live and a bathroom would be included. I wonder what other corners were cut with the making of these small homes?

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for sharing our thoughts with us! It sure is an interesting purchase to consider!

It depends on where you live. Just because you live someplace that evidently has a very cheap housing market doesn’t reflect the quality of these kits. I wouldn’t disparage something you don’t have direct knowledge of just because you don’t think it’s a bargain.

I shared this with my Virtual Assistant group and on my FB biz page – this is an AWESOME idea for a home office, she-shed or backyard retreat for self care! 🙂
