Stone kitchen island with coffee bar

I love this piece! 🤩

If you’re in need of more countertop space in the kitchen and/or are looking for a functional and movable kitchen island, you’ll definitely want to check out this Threshold Derry Stone Top Mixed-Material Kitchen Island from Target. I currently use this kitchen island as a coffee station in my dining area – and I LOVE it! 😍

It is such a versatile piece, too!

Not only does it make a nice island that’s great for prepping and cooking in smaller kitchens, but you can even use it as a side/entry table if you decide that you no longer need an island. It includes removable wheels so you can roll it around the kitchen while you’re cooking – or remove the wheels if you’d rather have a stationary piece (which is what I did).

The drawers are great for storing snacks, coffee items, dishware, or just about anything you want. Plus, I love how the stone tabletop looks like real marble! 🙌🏻 While this piece retails for over $250 on Target.com, it is an extremely sturdy, high-quality piece that I feel will last a really long time. It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces!

I notice online it has wheels…..why did you choose not to put wheels on?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Ann! The wheels are removable, you can opt to keep them off for a stationary piece like I did above. Hope that helps!

The Q and A for this discusses assembly without the wheels, but they say they do not recommend it. Am thinking it is a tipping issue. I do not have any kids or pets that might cause it to tip. How is it working for you? And what is the height without the wheels?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the heads up on the price! I like the height being lower – that’s why I took off the wheels. I wasn’t worried about tipping as the piece and the wheels seem really heavy duty. I just wanted it lower and also knew that I wasn’t planning to move it around.
