Persil Laundry Detergent - a hand holding a bottle of persil

Persil, you had me at hello…

I was a Tide user through and through until I purchased a discounted bottle of Persil… I figured, what the heck—I’ll try it. That’s when my love affair began. Yep, I was officially converted after just one wash!

The European bestseller has been available in the US for less than five years, yet its popularity is soaring… And for good reason.

Persil’s stain-fighting power is incredible! I have three dirty kiddos, and since switching to Persil, I find myself doing less pre-treating because the wash cycle alone takes care of most stains and blemishes. Although it may have a higher price tag, a little Persil goes a really long way (which helps stretch the dollar).

Ooh, that smell, can’t you smell that smell…

The first time I used Persil, I literally was sniffing ALL THE CLOTHES while putting them away. I was in heaven! What’s more, the smell is super long-lasting compared to most detergents, so I get to sniff myself into a happiness coma every time I dry off from a shower, hug a newly dressed kiddo, or snuggle into freshly laundered sheets… Mmm.

I persilnally 😉 will always be a Persil girl!

Ready to try Persil for yourself?

Target and Walmart are pretty much head to head on price at just under $12 a bottle (Persil ProClean Liquid Laundry Detergent, Original, 100 Fluid Ounces).

OR do what I do and purchase Persil through Amazon’s Subscribe and Save monthly delivery program. Each month I have two bottles of Persil (Persil ProClean Power-Liquid Laundry Detergent, Original Scent, 75 Fluid Ounces) delivered to my doorstep. I receive a 15% discount for using the program, which means I score BOTH bottles of Persil for around $15 AND shipping is FREE!

Here are some affordable towels that last!

Wondering if anyone else has trouble getting the detergent out of the bottle when it is almost empty? With the hole that is in the spout, it’s really hard to get the remaining liquid out of the bottle. We either have to dilute the detergent with water or cut a hole in the bottle to not waste the detergent left in the bottle.

When my bottle is low, I store it upside down to get the last of the detergent.

When I can’t get the last but out, I fill it about 1/3 a way with water and shake it and just pour it on top of the clothes in the washer (instead of using the dispenser) works great and you get every last bit out

There are also lots of great coupons available for Persil-Tide not so much!

I had the same problem. Found that the spout can be removed fairly easily with the use of a pair of pliers. Just let the bottle stand upright until the liquid detergent has all settled in the bottom, then give a firm pull. Worth the effort!

Omg! Thank you for your post. I’m from Singapore and recently tried Persil. I got lucky in Amazon and only managed to get a bottle. I regret buying just one bottle because it’s no longer available on Amazon at the moment. Persil proclean is the best smelling detergent out there. I just can’t stop sniffing my clothes and its great with stains. I’ll always love Persil

    Totally agree here!
I’m from Europe and have been using it back then, but that’s finally available in the US I’m going back to it!

I agree. My mother used this and her mother used this brand. It is the best. A family favorite for decades.

Author writes some cheesy, likely made up, story about how wonderful Persil is and the readers click the link and buy earning the author payment. Wake up.

    • Kara

Well, Hank. My brother, daughter, sis in law and I are avid users of Persil detergent Pods, and we all agree, better than Tide ever was. Honest review 😉
