If you’re anything like me, deciding what to hang on a wall and actually committing to it is a task greater than the actual hanging part. My taste in artwork and what I want to look at every day around my house changes like the wind, plus tools aren’t really my friend. That’s why I love these super easy ways to hang my seasonal decor and photos without totally destroying my walls or creating too much hassle.

1. Command strips, velcro, and hooks

We have just about every kind of Command product you can buy in our house, from the velcro strips to the large hooks, the small hooks, and every size (and color) in between! That’s because they’re absolutely amazing and perfect for the most indecisive decorators (like myself 😉).

Their heavy duty velcro strips were perfect for this framed piece in our kitchen. I definitely didn’t want to drill any holes into our cabinetry, and since this is a high traffic area, I didn’t want to take any chances of someone accidentally knocking it off the wall. Another great reason to love the Command velcro strips, since your artwork and picture frames aren’t going anywhere!

The weight of your frame or decor that you’re hanging will determine the type of hook or how many strips you’ll want to use. For this frame, I used two strips on each side of the frame. They work perfectly, and they’re almost completely flush with the surface, which makes the strips hardly noticeable. And, like all of Command’s strips and hooks, all you do to change things up is to easily pull the bottom of the tab on the wall.

Hip Tip: Another easy material that Lina loves to use is this versatile Scotch indoor mounting tape.

Hip Tip: You can scoop up many different types of Command hooks for daily essentials, like hanging measuring spoons behind your cabinet, your Christmas stockings on the mantle, seasonal wreaths on your home or front door, hanging hats and jewelry in your closet – and many other useful purposes. The options for these products are truly endless and hassle-free!

2. Gorilla & Monkey Hooks

You can hang just about anything up to 50 pounds with these monkey and gorilla hooks. All you do is puncture the drywall with the long end, twist it around to lock, and insert the rest of hook. (Make sure the end of the hanger hook is facing up as shown.) Then just hang your wall decor! No tools, no screws – it’s really that simple!

Plus, they only make a tiny hole in your wall, so if you ever need to repair where you once had something hanging, it’ll be quick and easy!

Hip Tip: Lina shared all the details on her beautiful gallery wall that she made with these monkey hooks! And I’m in love with how it turned out 😍, and she said it was SO easy to do!

3. Floating shelves

Floating shelves are a great way to be able to swap out decor, books, and picture frames without even having to deal with any holes or strips. Granted, you’ll need to commit to a spot to hang the shelves, but changing up the look whenever you want is easy peasy!

A shelf all on its own can also be completely versatile. In my boys’ room, they love having these floating shelves from IKEA which display some of their favorite books and also adds a subtle element of decor to their room.

We just moved and I LOVE using command strips to quickly get some decor up and find quick hanging solutions! Plus this wasn’t something I had to add to hubby’s to-do list, just a few minutes, some strips and a level=)

Thanks so much!! I didn’t even know those monkey hooks were a thing! Just what I needed to try to hang stuff at my apartment with terrible walls.
