Last year there was a home on fire across from ours. We were upstairs in the back of our house watching TV and couldn’t hear the regular doorbell being rung by our neighbor to alert us. It was also late at night so even if we had heard it, I would have been hesitant to answer the door.
The Ring Doorbell app alerted me to our neighbor being at the door, and I could see the fire from the video (you can even see it in the screencap above)! Luckily the fire didn’t spread, but thanks to my kind neighbor and the Ring Doorbell, we were quickly alerted to what was going on.
